Dr. Hope Chik

Associate Director

Dr. Hope Chik joined Berwind Private Equity in 2009.  He obtained a Master’s of Science degree in Investment Management at Boston University in 2010.  Previously, he was a member of the nanotechnology group at Motorola Labs where he conducted research on carbon nanotubes and transparent thin films.  He obtained his Ph.D. in 2004 from Brown University, where he studied nanowires and optoelectronic devices.  He gained his Master’s and undergraduate degrees in engineering from the University of Toronto.  He has over 20 journal and conference publications.  He is currently a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) candidate.  He resides in Windham, New Hampshire, with his wife, Shuwei, and two children.
