The powerful flow of the Mississippi River and other flowing bodies of water are viewed by a new generation of energy entrepreneurs as a reliable alternative way to generate electricity. Free Flow Power is focused on obtaining 25 federal permits for hydrokinetic projects along the lower Mississippi River between Kentucky and Louisiana. Although, there is uncertainty on how much power could eventually be generated by hydrokinetics, there is great potential nationwide.   (read more)
